Stuff for future-sleevers

Dumping syndrome is something that people say only gastric bypass patients can get, but it can happen to us too.  I had too many sugar-free puddings in a few minutes and experienced it myself.

If you don't follow the rules set by your doctor, nutritionist, surgeon, the professionals who help you; you will gain weight.  I've slacked on the rules a bit, eaten when I wasn't really hungry, had a few carbs, and I've gained a pound back.

This is one thing they didn't tell me in advance.  Your hormones might rock and roll a bit.  I don't know how this affects guys, but I was having two periods a month for a while, complete with the emotional loop-dee-doo's.  I had to go up to a stronger birth control pill to stabilize.

My sister offered this too.  When you come home from surgery, you will be miserable and so will all the people around you.  Heehee, sorry family!

The people who told you you can have sex a few days after surgery are LIARS!  My tummy hurt way too much for such activities for a week or two.  Don't push yourself.

Schedule plenty of time for your meals.  You won't be able to safely chow down your food in minutes ever again.  Everything has to be nibbled or you will hurt or do damage to yourself.

I hope this stuff helps!
